This role combines 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with limited English and small-group work with pupils across the school who are developing English as an Additional Language (EAL). This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about language development, communication, and helping children feel confident and included in their learning. About the Role You'll work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and EAL lead to support children who benefit from additional language scaffolding and tailored communication strategies. Your responsibilities will include: Providing 1:1 support to a Year 1 child with limited English, helping them understand routines, tasks, and develop early language skills. Supporting small groups of EAL learners across the school with vocabulary development, reading, speaking, and phonics. Using Arabic language skills to build confidence, explain learning in accessible ways, and support early communication. Helping children access learning through visual aids, repetition, modelling, and structured activities. Supporting children during classwork, transitions, and social interactions to encourage inclusion and independence. Working collaboratively with staff to implement consistent strategies and monitor progress.Ideal Candidate Profile Fluent Arabic speaker with strong English communication skills. Experience supporting children in schools, tutoring, or Early Years/KS1 settings. Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic about language development.
