We are seeking an experienced and proactive Temporary Office Manager to support the smooth day-to-day running of our office during a busy period. This is a hands-on role within a friendly charity organisation, offering the opportunity to make an immediate impact by ensuring efficient office operations and supporting staff and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day management of the office, ensuring a professional, organised and welcoming environment
* Act as the first point of contact for office-related queries, suppliers and visitors
* Manage office supplies, equipment and facilities, liaising with external providers as required
* Support senior management with administrative tasks, scheduling and coordination
* Maintain office policies, procedures and health & safety compliance
* Coordinate onboarding support for new starters and temporary staff
* Handle basic financial administration such as invoicing, expenses and purchase orders (where required)
* Support team events, meetings and internal communications
* Ensure effective filing systems and data protection compliance
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience in an Office Manager or senior administrative role
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable manner
* Confident using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
* A proactive, adaptable and solution-focused approach
* Previous experience within a charity or not-for-profit organisation is desirable but not essential
