Electrical Estimator – Building Services Location: South Staffs Salary: Competitive package (DOE) Type: Permanent We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established M&E contractor, who is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Estimator to support a growing pipeline of secured and tendered work. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working autonomously, contributing to bid strategy, and playing a key role in securing major projects across a variety of sectors. The Role You will be responsible for preparing accurate electrical estimates and tender submissions for projects across: * Warehousing and logistics facilities * MOJ works * Hospitals and healthcare * Schools and education projects Project values typically range from £100k to £7m (combined packages), working with Main Contractors, Tier 1 contractors and regional builders. You will also be expected to collate information for tender adjudications, analyse risk and opportunity, and liaise closely with internal delivery teams. Key Responsibilities * Preparing detailed electrical cost plans and tender submissions * Reviewing drawings, specifications and schedules * Working independently to pull together full tender packages * Attending and supporting adjudication meetings * Value engineering where appropriate * Liaising with supply chain and subcontractors * Supporting commercial and pre-construction teams About You * Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within building services * Ideally 3–5 years’ industry experience (all levels considered) * Strong electrical knowledge; mechanical awareness beneficial but not essential * Comfortable managing your own workload and deadlines * Organised, proactive and commercially minded * An easy-going, collaborative personality who works well within a team What’s On Offer * Competitive salary depending on experience * Long-term career progression * Exposure to major UK projects * Supportive and professional working environment * Stable order book and strong future pipeline If you’re an Electrical Estimator looking for your next move within a busy and respected contractor, we’d love to hear from you
