We are currently recruiting for a regional Chartered Financial Planning firm Financial Planning practice based in Harpenden who are looking to recruit a Level 4 qualified Paraplanner.
The company look after 150 Wealth Management Families and 50 financial planning and Investment strategy clients. They are serious about enabling their team to be the best they can be and will pay for all training towards exams and
allow study leave where appropriate. All their advisers are Chartered Financial Planners as a minimum requirement and play and active role in the Paraplanning and adviser community.
The Role
The role of the Paraplanner is to support the Financial Planner(s) when informing and advising Clients on financial strategies, plans and products.
Key Contributions and Outputs
1. Supporting the Financial Planner(s) in research and analysis to meet client needs and objectives
2. Supporting the Financial Planner(s) in preparing client financial plans and suitability reports
3. Attending client meetings supporting the Financial Planner(s) such as taking minutes, explaining technical details, form completion and follow up action points.
4. To be a specialist (Go to person) for a specific business area
5. Developing and maintaining internal relationships to help maintain business flow and meet agreed targets
6. Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally
7. Contributing to the smooth running of the paraplanning administrative function within the business
8. Working collaboratively with the Compliance & Operations Manager and Client Services Manager to develop and improve systems and processes where necessary, to help deliver the high standards expected of the company's clients
9. Where necessary, attend regular business meetings such as adviser, investment committee & support meetings

The technical aspects of preparing for Client meetings, including:
10. o Preparing and compiling financial analysis data
11. o Analysing Client data and preparing cash flow analyses
12. o Researching products to support recommendations
13. o Compiling financial planning recommendations and suitability reports to a high standard
14. o Providing support for the Financial Planner(s)
15. o Ensuring that all regulatory and compliance standards are met
16. o Liaising with product providers and other relevant third parties
17. o Ensuring that all Client requirements are followed through to the appropriate conclusion
18. Assisting the Financial Planner(s) with Client presentations and any other activities as agreed
19. Managing individual workflow and task delivery
20. Assisting the Senior Paraplanner with annual technical reviews, due diligence of services and products.
