I’m currently working with a leading developer in the renewable energy sector who is looking to recruit a Planning Lead / Planning Manager to join their growing team.
This is a pivotal role within the organisation, responsible for ensuring project timelines are robust, clearly reported, and that risks are proactively identified and communicated to key stakeholders.
The Role
As Planning Lead / Planning Manager, you will play a central role in overseeing programme integrity across multiple projects, ensuring visibility from design through to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reviewing and interrogating principal contractor programmes, identifying risks, delays, gaps, or flaws
* Ensuring plans link design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases, with clear go-live milestones
* Liaising closely with Project Managers to gather progress updates and maintain accurate baseline programmes
* Updating progress plans and producing reporting dashboards
* Automating reporting processes using tools such as MSP, Power BI, or similar software
* Producing reports, S-curves, graphs, and visual dashboards for weekly stakeholder meetings
* Engaging stakeholders to highlight risks and clearly communicate potential impacts
About You
* 5+ years’ planning experience
* Strong proficiency in MSP, Power BI, or similar planning/reporting tools
* Comfortable automating reporting processes and producing stakeholder-ready visuals
* Construction sector experience preferred
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
