Hours:
10 hours per week, with flexible scheduling. Afternoon and early evening availability is preferred. Final working hours will be discussed during the interview.
Location:
Great Sankey area, Warrington
Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour
About the Role:
A Personal Assistant is required to support a gentleman living with dementia, helping him maintain independence at home and in the community.
Main Duties Include:
• Accompanying the client for short outings (e.g., tea or a small meal)
• Prompting appropriate clothing choices based on weather
• Preparing hot drinks and turning on the TV
• Assisting with small shopping tasks
• Light domestic duties (e.g., wiping surfaces, washing cups)
• Occasional personal care prompts (e.g., reminders to shower or wash hands)
• Flexibility to undertake other reasonable tasks as needed
Note: Duties may vary daily. Flexibility and willingness to undertake reasonable tasks are essential.
Requirements – Essential:
• Respectful of the client’s wishes
• Honest and trustworthy
• Good communication skills
• Patient and well-mannered
• A good sense of humour
Preferred:
• Owns a vehicle and holds a valid driver’s licence
• Has business insurance
• Non-smoker
Additional Information:
• A probationary period will apply
• An enhanced DBS check will be required (provided free of charge)
