Your new role
They are now looking for amercial Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are administered accurately, efficiently, and profitably—while upholding the highest standards and building strong client relationships. Reporting directly to a Director, you’ll lead and manage an experienced administration team, providingprehensivemercial support across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and overseemercial services from project inception topletion
2. Manage and support the team to meet all contractual andmercial deadlines.
3. Review framework agreements and project contracts, advising on risk (including JCT and NEC contracts)
4. Administer performance bonds and liaise with insurance brokers
5. Prepare and monitor execution of sub-contractor orders and warranties
6. Respond to sub-contractor queries and ensurepliance with legislation
7. Prepare Payless Notices in line with the Construction Act 1996
8. Manage agency orders and ensure IR35pliance
9. Conduct quarterly performance reviews and mentor team members
10. Provide accurate data input, reports, and forecasting for senior management
11. Utilisepany systems and assist with implementation of new tools
12. Identify and mitigatemercial project risks
13. Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
14. Promote continuous improvement and best practice across the team
What you'll need to succeed
15. Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant RICS professional qualification
16. Proven experience in a similar role within construction
17. Strong leadership, management, and organisational skills
18. Confident with a range of IT systems and software
19. Self-motivated, proactive, and positive attitude
20. Excellent team player with the ability to inspire others
21. Full UK driving licence
