We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Project Manager to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary:
The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing technical projects from conception to completion. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to ensure projects are delivered at a high rate, within scope, and that complexity is managed as the company grows. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of high-frequency trading systems, post-trade STP, and cryptocurrency payment systems. They should also have some exposure to cloud-based systems, ideally AWS.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage multiple technical projects simultaneously.
* Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, owning the delivery process of the technology group within Laser Digital
* Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
* Understand and contribute to the systems architecture of high-frequency trading systems, post-trade settlement, and cryptocurrency payment systems.
* Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and stakeholders across all our offices on 4 continents.
* Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
* Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and both internal and external client expectations.
* Communicate project status, updates, and issues to stakeholders and senior management, including preparing and presenting regular progress updates to the Executive Committee
* Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status reports.
Qualifications:
* Deep understanding of high-frequency trading systems, post-trade settlement, and cryptocurrency payment systems.
* Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or similar role.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with a background in a startup environment.
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project).
* Experience working with international teams.
* Suggested academic level: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
