Laing O'Rourke (Expanded) are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to work on one of our bridges projects in Norwich.

The Expanded Group provides total capability in the early construction phases of major projects, offering an end-to-end solution or bespoke services. Backed by a central technical design and engineering resource, we deliver a full range of piling, precast concrete, post-tensioning, and structural techniques.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Utilise a Digital Engineering model to create Visual Method Statements and Visual Task sheets, demonstrating confidence in sharing these with team members.
* Implement and ensure compliance with the LOR Management of Temporary Works procedure, explaining these procedures to others.
* Determine appropriate methods of dimensional control, consulting specialists as needed, and ensure setting out data is controlled.
* Interrogate and transfer setting out data from 3D CAD models.
* Define scope of as-built surveys and reports to demonstrate compliance, and determine the requirements and format.
* Produce and ensure availability of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring they meet specifications and contractual obligations.
* Adhere to project and company quality procedures.
* Utilise and recommend best engineering methods and possess design process knowledge.
* Produce and approve method statements and risk assessments.
* Participate in procurement processes.
* Manage a team of Senior Engineers, depending on the project.
Requirements:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or recognized technical/engineering qualification (e.g., HNC, HND, NVQ Level 4) with demonstrable experience in construction delivery.
* Approximately 8 years' experience in Civil Engineering.
* Experience with structural projects.
* Eligible to work in the UK / hold a valid UK visa.
