Senior associate/leadership role - rural - west midlands

West Bromwich
Macdonald & Company
Posted: 13 April
Offer description

A well-established and highly regarded rural property consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Rural surveying professional into a key role within its West Midlands-based team.

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for someone who wants more than just a fee-earning role.

The business has a strong local reputation, an excellent client base, and a long-standing presence in the region. With succession planning now firmly underway, they are looking for someone who can help shape the next chapter of the office and play a meaningful part in its future direction.

This is a role for someone who enjoys a broad and varied rural workload, but who is also motivated by the chance to have real influence over a team, client relationships, and long-term growth.

For more detail

You would join an established rural team delivering a wide range of professional and agency work across the region, including:

* Rural estate and landlord & tenant matters
* Valuation work
* Rural agency
* Property-related dispute / litigation support
* Strategic land and development advice
* Utilities and compensation work
* General rural professional consultancy

There is already a strong foundation in place, including a capable and ambitious younger team coming through. What is now needed is someone with the experience, confidence and commercial awareness to help bridge the gap between day-to-day delivery and the wider strategic future of the office.

Is this right for you?

This could suit someone already operating at Associate/Senior Associate/Director level, or someone ready to step into a broader leadership role.

The ideal person will likely be:

* MRICS qualified
* Well established within the wider West Midlands/Welsh Borders rural market, or able to relocate and embed themselves in the area
* Comfortable handling a mixed rural caseload
* Commercially minded and able to spot opportunities with clients
* A natural relationship builder who can work closely with existing leadership
* Someone with the energy and initiative to help drive the business forward over the coming years

This is not necessarily a role for someone who wants to inherit a finished structure and simply maintain it. It is much better suited to someone who sees the appeal in helping shape something, building around good existing foundations, and becoming a key part of a long-term succession plan.

Opportunities like this are rare in the rural market.

This is a chance to join a respected business at a pivotal stage in its evolution where there is already a strong client base, trusted local reputation and quality team around you, but also clear headroom to make a mark.

For the right person, this could be a genuine career-defining move with the potential to become a central figure in the future of the office.
