Position: LCL Export Manager
Salary:£50,000 - £55,000 + Benefits
Location: Manchester
Hours: Mon - Fri 37.5 per week, Hybrid Working - 2 Days WFH / 3 Days Office

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Export Manager with a strong background in LCL ocean freight to lead and develop their export function.
The Role
This is a key leadership position, supporting the Head of Department in the day-to-day running of the LCL export operation. You'll be responsible for driving performance, improving efficiencies, and ensuring a high standard of service to both clients and international partners.
Managing a team of 7, you'll play a pivotal role in building a motivated, engaged, and results-driven department.
Key Responsibilities
Support LCL consolidation planning and overall export strategy
Monitor market rates, trends, and competitor activity to maintain competitiveness
Take ownership of financial performance, including P&L, KPIs, and reporting
Lead, manage, and develop a team of 7 direct reports
Ensure operational procedures and service standards are consistently met
Identify and implement efficiencies to improve workflow and profitability
Support commercial teams with onboarding new clients
Act as a senior escalation point for operational issues
Conduct regular team and performance review meetings
Oversee monthly financial checks including invoicing, cost control, and job profitability
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in LCL Ocean Exports (essential)
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&L and KPIs
Previous leadership experience with the ability to delegate, coach, and develop a team
In-depth knowledge of export markets and industry trends
A proactive, solutions-driven mindset
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
