Job Description
What you’ll be doing:
* Delivering all building control functions and services, including pre-application meetings, plan checking, site inspections, and visits for our resilience customers.
* Making decisions on building works, applications, notices, and other matters under the Building Act 1984, the Building Regulations 2010, and the upcoming Building Safety Regime.
* Participating in a range of projects, including work on the safety at sports grounds.
* Upselling our building control services and other specialist services like Fire Safety, Structural Engineering, and Energy Services.
* liaising with partner agencies and authorities as needed in your duties.
What we’re looking for:
* Experience in building control inspection, general building surveying, design, project management, or similar fields, preferably within local government or a building control body.
* Knowledge of current legislation, guidance, and practical problem-solving skills.
* Experience managing various building regulation applications.
* Understanding of building control software systems.
* Ability to perform duties in accordance with quality management and performance standards.
