School Receptionist
Location: Hackney
Salary: £100 – £130 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Monday, 11th May 2026 (after half term)
Contract Type: Long Term, Part Time, 21.25 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 11:45am – 4:00 pm
GSL Education’s London Branch is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced School Receptionist to join a welcoming school in Hackney. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong administrative and communication skills to play a vital role in the smooth running of a busy school environment.
About the Role:
As a School Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and students, ensuring a professional and friendly front office experience. This is a part-time position with fixed, non-negotiable hours, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced school setting.
Responsibilities for School Receptionist:
Provide a warm and professional front-of-house service, greeting visitors and managing enquiries.
Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence efficiently.
Maintain accurate student records and administrative systems.
Use SIMS to manage attendance, admissions, and other school data.
Support staff and leadership team with administrative tasks as required.
Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed, including visitor sign in protocols.
Requirements for School Receptionist:
Previous receptionist experience
Experience working in a school setting
Strong working knowledge of SIMS
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
Knowledge of InVentry – desirable
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Must be available to start immediately after the half term break
