InterFlex Group are currently looking for an experienced Warehouse Operator with a Fork Lift Licence. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
Role Summary
The primary role of a Logistics Operative is to assist the Logistics Manager in the efficient running of the Logistics department and provide a positive contribution towards the department meeting required productivity levels and quality standards.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
* Communication of relevant information to following shift at shift hand-over
* Print off material issue lists; pick required quantities of material from relevant rack locations and allocate to appropriate machine; highlight and date issue list to acknowledge removal from stock.
* Accurately pick and pack product to customer specifications
* Allocate small / part used / set up reels of raw material first to ensure efficient stock rotation
* Replenish consumables to machines when required; check for any signs of damage or contamination and remove and report any which are unsuitable
* Monitor goods produced; remove pallets of finished goods and work in progress where/when required
* Monitor all internal waste stations and bailers on a regular basis and empty when necessary
* Safe operation of fork lift trucks; conducting daily vehicle safety checks and completing records accordingly
* Process customer pallets in accordance with induvial packing specifications
* Safely loading and unloading vehicles ensuring all products are correct
* Storing goods safely and efficiently
* Assisting in all areas of the Logistics department and other departments when required

* Ensure all work activities are carried out in accordance with the Company's:

* ISO 14001 certification and statutory environmental legislation
* British Retail Consortium / Royal Society for Public Health accreditation
* American Institute of Bakers accreditation
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping throughout shift and complete cleaning and inspection schedules / documentation in areas of designated responsibility
Change Management, Projects and Improvement Initiatives
* Actively participate in initiatives to improve:
* Health & safety in the workplace
* Housekeeping and hygiene standards
* Waste reduction and the environmental impact of company activities
* Quality standards through process improvements
* Seek continual improvement in key target areas - productivity, efficiency, waste reduction, quality and costs
