Role Overview
Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division – a new era of mobile repair. You’ll work through a scheduled list of jobs, with the time, tools and support you need to deliver quality work.
Salary & Work Hours
* Competitive base salary of £45,378 (incl. London Weighting Allowance, if applicable), with on‑target earnings up to £57,000.
* Optional guaranteed overtime to increase your base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
* Full‑time 40 hours per week, core hours 8:30 am–5:00 pm, with 1 in 4 Saturdays.
Responsibilities
* Routine servicing
* Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
* In‑depth repairs typically completed in a workshop
* Delivering member advice and recommendations based on inspection
* Performing vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards

Qualifications
* Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
* Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
