Appealia Health is a UK-based venture building an AI-enabled preventive health infrastructure designed to improve how people understand symptoms, access care, and navigate healthcare systems. The long-term vision is to help shift healthcare from reactive treatment toward proactive and preventive care, where individuals are better informed about their health and healthcare systems are supported by intelligent digital infrastructure that improves decision-making and access to care.
By combining patient guidance, intelligent care navigation, and AI-assisted decision support, Appealia Health aims to build a platform that helps individuals make better health decisions while enabling healthcare providers and systems to operate more efficiently. Appealia Health is currently developing the first components of this platform as it prepares for MVP development and a pre‑seed funding round.
Role Description
Appealia Health is currently in the early stage of building its MVP and preparing for a pre‑seed funding round. We are looking for a Founding CTO / Technical Co‑Founder who wants to build a meaningful technology platform from the ground up and shape the technical foundations of an ambitious AI‑enabled healthcare venture. The ambition is to build a platform that can become part of the digital infrastructure supporting preventive healthcare at scale.
This is a founder‑level role where the CTO will play a central role in defining the architecture of the platform, building the first version of the product, and establishing the engineering culture of the company. The role is ideal for a hands on senior engineer or technical leader who wants to take the next step into a founding position and help build the company from the earliest stage.
You will work directly with the founder to define the architecture, build the MVP, and establish the long‑term technical vision of the platform.
What you will build
* The core architecture of the Appealia Health platform
* Scalable cloud infrastructure for AI‑enabled healthcare services
* APIs and services supporting patient‑facing applications
* The technical foundations for AI‑assisted preventive care tools
* The engineering culture and future technical team
What we are looking for
* Strong experience building scalable software platforms
* Experience with backend systems, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure
* Hands‑on engineering mindset with the ability to build early‑stage products
* Interest in applying AI technologies to real‑world healthcare challenges
* Ability to think strategically about system architecture while remaining hands‑on
* Experience with healthcare technology or applied AI is a plus but not required.
Stage and Compensation
Appealia Health is currently at the MVP and pre‑seed stage. This is a founder‑level role with significant equity participation aligned with building the company long‑term. Salary is expected after the pre‑seed funding round.
