Their technology leads the way in delivering hybrid and all-electric propulsion solutions across Urban Air Mobility (UAM), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), and General Aviation (GA). Operating from a state-of-the-art 39,000 sq ft facility in Oxfordshire, the company's ultra-high-performance, low-weight axial-flux motors and power electronics are smaller, lighter, and more robust than competing technologies. The site includes advanced engineering labs, custom test and validation facilities, and full-scale manufacturing capability. The Opportunity *We're looking for an experienced Metrology Engineer to join the team on a 6-month contract. *This role has been created due to increased project workload and the need to further strengthen data robustness and metrology capability. You'll work in a highly collaborative environment, partnering with design and manufacturing engineers to ensure precise measurement processes and calibration standards are consistently achieved. *This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge electric propulsion development within a fast-moving, innovative engineering environment. Key Responsibilities *Work closely with the Design Team, providing measurement insights and feedback into design reviews. *Conduct Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) to validate data accuracy and reliability. *Support and assist with calibration activities, ensuring measurement consistency. *Deliver operational metrology tasks that improve measurement maturity and drive cost reduction. *Collaborate across teams to enhance data quality and process integrity. Essential Skills & Experience *Proven ability to work effectively with design and engineering teams. *Strong analytical mindset - able to ask the right questions and clearly articulate reasoning. *Hands-on experience with MSAs, calibration, and CMM equipment. *Confident in working with and interpreting measurement data.
