Job Title: Business Development Analyst
Location: Telford
Hours of Work: Mon-Thurs 8am-4:30-pm & Fri 8am-1:30pm
Job Purpose:
To provide strategic insights and actionable intelligence that enhance Wrekin Window’s competitiveness in the social housing and local authority sectors. This role will focus on market research, competitor analysis, and feedback mechanisms to support the Estimating Team in improving tender success rates and strengthening Wrekin’s market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Perception Analysis Assess how Wrekin is perceived within the social housing and local authority sectors.Gather feedback from clients and stakeholders to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
2. Competitor Research Identify key competitors in the social sector and Tier One contractor space.Analyse competitor profiles, pricing strategies, and operational advantages (e.g., in-house manufacturing capabilities).
3. Geographical Competitiveness Evaluate Wrekin’s performance across different regions, with a focus on the Midlands.Recommend strategies to maximize competitiveness in core and emerging markets.
4. Brand & Marketing Enhancement Collaborate with marketing teams to strengthen Wrekin’s presence in the social sector.Suggest campaigns and initiatives to improve brand recognition and reputation.
5. Tender Feedback & Improvement Develop a structured process for collecting and analysing feedback on submitted quotes and tenders.Share insights with the Estimating Team to refine pricing and proposal strategies.
6. Data Reporting & Communication Create clear reports and dashboards summarizing market trends, competitor insights, and feedback analysis.Present findings to senior management and estimating teams to inform decision-making.
Skills & Experience Required:
7. Strong analytical and research skills.
8. Knowledge of construction, social housing, and local authority procurement processes.
9. Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
10. Ability to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
11. Proficiency in MS Office and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel).
12. Experience in market research or business development within the construction sector is desirable.
