Description
The role involves subrogated motor recovery work for a wide range of motor insurance clients. You will work on motor vehicle damage claims (no injury) and motor indemnity recovery claims. You will be responsible for your own case load of files, reviewing and allocating new instructions, and supervising other team members.

Working Hours
35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. This role is hybrid; the primary office location is Glasgow.
Key Responsibilities
* Review, assess and allocate new instructions
* Run your own case load of litigated motor recovery files
* Adhere to court deadlines and manage files in accordance with court timetables
* Liaise with clients, other insurers and third parties
* Liaise with policyholders and witnesses
* Negotiate settlements
* Draft pleadings and court documents
* Supervise other file handlers with their case loads
* Handle other tasks as they arise to efficiently run your caseload
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Experience handling pre- and post-litigation recovery files for insurer clients
* Experience pursuing motor damage claims
* Experience drafting court documents and understanding of processes
* Good telephone and communication skills with people at all levels inside and outside the business
* Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks
* Experience developing claim management processes
* Calm under pressure, able to re-prioritise and delegate effectively when required
* Ability to maintain attention to detail when dealing with repetitive tasks
* Ability to analyse evidence
* Team player
* Self-confident
* Good literacy and IT skills
* Good team worker, flexible to meet client service levels
* Ability to work effectively within the Keoghs Shared Behaviour framework
