About Our Client

Safran Seats is unique within aerospace, as they interface with both the world's biggest airlines and airframers, offering the largest seats portfolio among seat suppliers. You could be liaising with one of the world's largest airframers or some of the biggest airline brands globally. In the UK, Safran Seats specializes in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide-body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams based in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales, and Brackley, England.


Job Description

1. Track, coordinate, and report on purchased material requirements for development, confidence tests, PDR, CDR, certification test articles, and up to SS01, within the program schedule constraints.
2. Issue and monitor RFP/Qs to specific suppliers using available engineering data.
3. Review and select suppliers based on proposals/quotations received.
4. Use MRP data to raise necessary purchase orders and collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely, full, and quality deliveries.
5. Resolve discrepancies and invoice queries in line with team KPIs.
6. Ensure all documentary evidence for purchased materials is delivered at each PROMPT Tollgate milestone.
7. Report on material costs versus budget targets and identify potential cost savings.
8. Raise and obtain approval for purchase requisitions and sales orders to support long lead-time material demands.
9. Track and resolve purchased material issues, organize transport or airfreight as needed.
10. Utilize Engineering DLOB, Long Lead Tracker tools, and report on drawing releases to support purchasing needs.
11. Manage program purchased inventory, including initiating and executing material dispositions.


The Successful Applicant

* Demonstrates technical understanding and enthusiasm for project delivery.
* Has proven procurement strategy implementation experience.
* Possesses project/program management skills.
* Experience managing cross-functional teams.
* Proficient in using MRP & Baan to support new product introductions into programs.
* Ensures attainment of cost objectives for purchased parts by collaborating with stakeholders.
* Confident and clear communication skills are essential.
* This role is subject to pre-employment checks, including criminal record checks. Disclosure of unspent convictions is required if applicable. Only candidates passing these checks will be considered.
