Teaching Personnel is working with a welcoming primary school in Stretford that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil on a 1:1 basis. The child has ADHD and can find independent work challenging, so the school is looking for someone confident in creating structure, encouraging positive behaviour, and providing consistent, tailored support. Role Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil in both classroom learning and physical education Use strategies to help the pupil stay focused, motivated, and engaged Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team Adapt your approach to meet the child’s individual learning and behavioural needs The ideal candidate will: Have experience working with children with SEN Be confident managing challenging behaviour Understand the national curriculum and KS2 expectations The school is a friendly, community-focused primary with a supportive staff team who will help you settle into the role quickly.
