About this Role As a Branch Manager within Dawsongroup Truck and Trailer, you will lead a local branch operation, balancing customer service, commercial performance, and operational excellence. This Branch Manager role, sometimes described as a Depot Manager or Rental Operations Manager, is central to delivering a best-in-class truck and trailer hire service while growing revenue and protecting our assets. Take full responsibility for the commercial and operational performance of the branch, including revenue delivery and fleet utilisation. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through handovers, reviews, and ongoing service conversations. Lead branch operations in line with legal, regulatory, and company standards, with a strong focus on health and safety. Forecast, track, and report on branch performance, ensuring visibility of risks and opportunities. Represent Dawsongroup professionally with customers, suppliers, landlords, and internal stakeholders. About You You are someone who enjoys accountability, leading people, and making things work better day by day. You do not need to tick every box to succeed here, we value transferable skills, sound judgement, and the confidence to take ownership. Experience leading teams in an operational, rental, transport, or service-led environment. Comfortable managing performance against budgets, KPIs, and service standards. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust with customers and colleagues. A practical understanding of compliance, safety, and audit standards, or the ability to learn these quickly. An organised and proactive approach, with confidence making decisions that balance service, cost, and risk.
