We’re hiring an Employment Adviser to support participants in overcoming barriers to employment and achieving realistic job goals. The role involves managing a caseload, coaching and mentoring customers to secure sustainable employment.
Salary: £26,500 to £29,545 per annum (dependent on experience).

Location: Office‑based role in Salisbury.
Hours: 37 hours a week – Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities
* Meet and exceed personal performance targets (KPIs).
* Progressively manage a caseload of referred customers using appropriate strategies to overcome employment barriers.
* Deliver a positive experience to new customers, ensuring engagement with the programme.
* Achieve the required customer service standards.
* Facilitate assessments to fully understand a customer’s circumstances, ambitions and goals.
* Provide advice and guidance on self‑employment basics and signpost to specialists when appropriate.
* Co‑produce tailored Action Plans featuring SMART targets to enable timely progression.
* Support all aspects of job‑search and interview preparation to match customers with suitable roles.
* Provide training/guidance on digital technologies for self‑service learning and online job vacancies.
* Ensure all evidence requirements are met to verify job starts.
* Understand the local labour market to source suitable job opportunities.
* Undertake direct marketing to employers via digital media (email, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter etc.).
* Market specific customers to employers.
* Identify recruitment needs of employers and conduct tailored pre‑screens and group assessments.
* Develop relationships with key stakeholders to maximise job opportunities.
* Maintain hard‑copy and system‑held customer records to required compliance and quality standards.
* Develop knowledge of local sign‑posting services (e.g., disabilities, housing, benefits) and apply it appropriately.
* Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance customer service.
* Act as an employee owner, considering the best interests of the company, shareholders and colleagues.
* Identify and champion best practice.
* Work flexibly to meet role needs, including travel and overnight stays.
* Accountable for professional development, undertaking training as identified in performance reviews.
* Handle personal data in compliance with the organisation’s data protection policy.
* Participate in and promote Prevent and safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
* Adhere to policies and procedures including safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, quality, health and safety and IT.
* Undertake any other duties as required for the post.
Skills and Experience
* Good working knowledge of the local labour market in the specified geographical locations.
* Basic knowledge of self‑employment.
* Fully IT‑literate in Microsoft Office programmes.
* Experience working in a target‑driven environment.
* Experience delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards.
* Knowledge of the employability and recruitment industries.
* Experience providing information, advice & guidance.
* Full driving licence.
