HGV Technician Job Purpose To carry out repairs and maintenance on TCR and customer vehicles to a high standard, in line with company Health and Safety policies and ISO quality frameworks. Key Responsibilities Repair and maintain vehicles and plant as directed by the Workshop Supervisor Carry out inspections, diagnostics, brake and smoke tests Accurately complete job cards and inspection reports using the tablet system Identify and report required work, parts, defects and vehicle off-road (VOR) issues Ensure correct handling, labelling and storage of parts and tooling Comply with all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures Health, Safety and Quality Work safely at all times and report accidents, near misses and hazards Use PPE and safety equipment correctly Adhere to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements Key Relationships Operations Manager Workshop Supervisor Technicians and management team Customers Skills and Knowledge Strong mechanical or motor vehicle knowledge Good communication, numeracy and diagnostic skills Customer-focused and quality-driven Understanding of health and safety regulations Experience Vehicle or plant maintenance environment Customer-focused operational role Logistics or fleet background (desirable) Qualifications LGV Level 3 or equivalent in Motor Mechanics City & Guilds or BTEC National Certificate Forklift licence (desirable) Personal Attributes Team-oriented with a professional approach Self-motivated, organised and proactive Flexible with a practical, problem-solving mindset What We Offer 6% employer pension contribution 3x salary Life Assurance Private Medical coverage Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Why we think you will love working with us: You’ll join a smart, grounded team that moves fast and backs each other.
