Senior Business Development Manager – Bridging Finance

Our client is a fast-growing specialist property finance lender with a clear edge in the market. With ambitious plans to grow from £25m in year one to £100m+ annual lending in the next three years, this is the perfect time for a proven originator in bridging finance to join the journey.

About the Role

This is more than a standard Business Development Role, it’s a strategic hire where you’ll work closely with the leadership team to drive origination, strengthen broker relationships, and play a key role in shaping the business’s success.

As the first senior hire in sales, you’ll have autonomy to develop your own strategy, leverage your broker network, and help position the lender as a go-to name in the bridging finance space. Over time, there’s a clear pathway to progression into leadership, with the chance to build and manage your own team.

Senior Business Development Manager – Bridging Finance: Key Responsibilities

* Originate bridging and short-term property finance business via your broker and introducer network.
* Build, manage, and grow broker relationships, positioning the lender as a trusted partner.
* Drive completions, managing deals from enquiry through to funding in collaboration with internal teams.
* Represent the brand in the market, attending broker meetings, events, and industry functions.
* Develop and implement a personal business development strategy to achieve and exceed targets.
* Provide market feedback to shape product development and strategy.
* Take the first steps towards building a high-performing sales function, with leadership progression in mind.
* Commission: Transparent and competitive (0.1%–0.2% of completed loans, structured for growth)
* Holiday: 24 days + bank holidays
* Location: Northwest (Manchester Office once a week) with UK-wide travel

Skills & Experience

* Minimum 5 years’ experience in property finance, with the last 2–3 years in a sales/origination role.
* Strong broker network, ideally in the North, with proven ability to generate consistent completions.
* Background in bridging finance essential, exposure to development or commercial property finance advantageous.
* Self-sufficient, ambitious, and motivated by results.
* Excellent communicator, strong relationship builder, and confident market presence.
* Entrepreneurial mindset – able to thrive in a small but fast-growing business.
