Offer description

We are looking for an Assistant Technical Officer to work in our small stock control team. Full training will be given in all aspects of stock control within an aseptic unit. We are currently completing a business case to enable us to relocate to a state of the art new aseptic unit facility. Please note that sponsorship is not available for this position. The post holder will be expected to participate in weekend, late duty & bank holiday rotas. Core hours are 37.5 per week within the hours of 7am - 8pm. Part time hours will be considered.


Key Responsibilities

* Top up stock, maintain stock rotation and manage the returns/delayed patient database to maximise use of outsourced preparations.
* Complete general housekeeping activities within the Production Services Unit.
* Follow quality guidelines to ensure patients receive safe products.
* Participate in weekend, late duty & bank holiday rotas.


Qualifications & Training

* Good general education.
* If not already held, complete the Certificate in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Support Staff – BTEC Level 2: Unit 6-Managing Pharmaceutical Stock (in-house training provided).
* Willingness to respond flexibly to the needs of the Pharmacy and the Trust is essential.


Preferred Candidates

* Internal Trust staff.
* 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who can display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.
