Plenty of work is kicking off as we move into AMP8, and this is an opportunity to take a key leadership role in delivering some of the most exciting water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the region.
I’m working with a leading Tier 1 contractor on the Thames Water AMP8 Framework, looking to appoint a MEICA & Commissioning Manager to oversee the delivery, testing, and commissioning of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (MEICA) works across multiple schemes.
The Role
You’ll lead and coordinate all MEICA and commissioning activities — from design through to energisation, testing, and handover — ensuring assets are delivered safely, on time, and to spec.
This is a senior position that also carries the responsibility of Framework Authorising Engineer for Electrical and Mechanical Safety.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee all MEICA and commissioning works across water and wastewater projects.

Develop and manage commissioning strategies and risk assessments.
*
Ensure full technical assurance, compliance, and seamless integration with civil and process elements.
*
Lead health, safety, and environmental performance across all project stages.
*
Manage budgets, forecasting, procurement, and support tenders.
*
Lead, mentor, and develop the MEICA and commissioning teams.
*
Oversee performance testing, client training, and handover documentation.
What You’ll Need
*
Strong background in MEICA engineering and commissioning within the UK water sector.
*
Proven experience managing major CAPEX projects.
*
In-depth understanding of CDM Regulations, safety protocols, and NEC contracts.
*
Excellent leadership, stakeholder, and client management skills.
*
Qualified Authorising Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical).
