We have an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to apply for the role of Finance Business Partner.
You’ll lead and manage a section of the corporate Finance function focusing on delivering consistent, high quality, customer focussed service while providing professional financial management support to a designated Directorate Leadership Team.
1. Strategic influence: Lead a centre of expertise across the Council using your insights to support and influence both strategic and operational decision making.
2. Directorate support: Provide professional guidance to a designated Directorate to advise on critical business planning assumptions, help navigate trade-offs, identify opportunities and act as an account manager for end to end financial services.
3. Ambassador for the Finance function: Drive delivery of finance initiatives, gaining acceptance from key stakeholders and building strong relationships.
4. Leadership and management: Lead and manage a section of the corporate Finance function providing professional leadership and guidance.
The Person
We are looking for people who meet the following criteria:
5. Education: Graduate calibre with supporting CCAB professional qualification.
6. Experience: Extensive generalist finance knowledge and expertise across all disciplines.
7. Team Player: Strong team player who can collaborate effectively.
8. Strategic thinker: Experience of developing strategies and translating these into deliverable plans.
9. Consultancy and Facilitation Skills: Able to communicate clearly, influence others and gain credibility.
10. Systems: Proficient IT skills with the ability to optimise technology for continuous improvement.

13. Salary Range: £62k to £70k per annum/pro-rata (paid 4 weekly).

Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
