Benefits for a Materials Controller Basic salary up to £33,000 pa (based on experience) Pension Life Assurance Employee discounts and wellbeing support Employee Assistance Program Cycle2Work Scheme Responsibilities of a Materials Controller Your primary responsibility will be to provide vision, direction and focus to the planning, production control, shipping, and receiving materials control business areas to ensure the right material arrives at the point of fit at the right time. You will also be a part of the team insuring that inventory levels are kept to a minimum in line with set targets. On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for assessing materials shortages and taking relevant action to resolve any issues, collaborating across all the business areas as well as suppliers to ensure the right first time build and control of inventory levels, supporting inventory and continuous improvement initiatives, carry out inventory and 5S audits. You will also be working closely with project and production teams to ensure smooth introduction of new products for successful launch into the business. Essential Qualifications of a Materials Controller We are looking for candidates with GCSE in Maths and English at grade C or above or equivalent relevant experience. Essential skills and experience also include: Previous experience of manufacturing environment in a similar role. Good understanding of MRP Excellent problem solving and continuous improvement skills. Excellent analytical skills Collaborative and skilled influencer.
