Pay rate: £150 - £250 per day (Depending on experience)

Are you a skilled welder with a passion for passing on your expertise to the next generation of tradespeople? GSL Education seeks an enthusiastic and experienced Lecturer in Welding to join a forward-thinking school in Gateshead.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and practical lessons across a range of welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, MMA).
* Teach learners at various levels (e.g., Level 1 to Level 3, apprenticeships, or adult learning)
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear feedback and guidance.
* Prepare resources and maintain equipment to support high-quality teaching and learning.
* Support students in developing their technical skills, workplace readiness, and safety awareness.
* Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance activities.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.
Job Requirements:
* Industry-recognised qualifications in Welding and Fabrication (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
* A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS or willingness to work towards one).
* Strong understanding of welding techniques, tools, and safety standards.
* Previous teaching or mentoring experience is desirable but not essential.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Commitment to promoting safe working practices and inclusive learning.
* A current Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
