This is a great opportunity for an experienced purchasing professional who wants to take ownership of supplier performance, sourcing strategy, cost control and team leadership within a busy engineering and manufacturing environment. The role would suit someone with strong experience in procurement, supplier management and negotiation, ideally gained within machinery, engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, machining, casting or electrical component environments. The Role: * Lead and support a small purchasing team of 2 to 3 direct reports * Develop and implement purchasing and sourcing strategies for assigned categories * Manage key supplier relationships, including reviews, site meetings and performance improvement * Negotiate with suppliers to achieve best value, cost savings and improved commercial terms * Monitor supplier performance against quality, cost, delivery and service KPIs * Identify and reduce supply chain risks including single source supply, capacity issues and quality concerns * Support continuity of supply through contingency planning and dual sourcing where required * Ensure purchasing s...
