Accounts Assistant (Entry Level) – Temp to PermSouth Sheffield | Hybrid Working (2 days office / 3 days home)
Are you looking to kickstart your career in finance or take the next step in your accounting journey? We’re working with a growing business in South Sheffield who are looking for an ambitious Accounts Assistant to join them on a temp-to-perm basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate (Finance, Economics, Maths) or someone currently studying AAT, who is eager to learn, develop, and progress within a supportive finance team.
The Role
As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the finance function, with full training provided and ongoing development opportunities once permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management of the accounts payable function
* Processing supplier invoices and employee expense claims
* Supplier statement reconciliations and resolving queries
* Preparation and processing of payment runs
* Management and reconciliation of cash accounts
* Maintenance of vendor master data
* Supporting month-end accounts payable close procedures
Key Focus Areas
* Ensuring timely and accurate payments
* Maintaining strong cash control
* Delivering high levels of transactional accuracy
About You
* Degree in Finance, Economics, Maths OR currently studying AAT
* Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
* Confident working with numbers and data
* A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
* Keen to build a long-term career in finance
