Are you passionate about working with individuals affected by major trauma in Tayside? We are looking for a dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team at NHS Tayside, delivering high-quality care across hospital and community settings and supporting the rehabilitation and nutritional recovery of major trauma patients.
Based at Ninewells Hospital - a designated Major Trauma Centre since this role is ideal for a current Band 6 Dietitian or an experienced Band 5 with relevant clinical expertise. You will work closely with the Major Trauma Dietetic Team Lead and MDT, contributing to the delivery of our Allied Health Professions Rehabilitation Pathway. This includes carrying a clinical caseload, supporting implementation of evidence-based practice, and taking an active role in training and education.
We offer a dynamic and supportive environment within a fully integrated adult hospital dietetic team. As part of our patient-centred approach, team members contribute to cross-cover within other clinical areas, enhancing service resilience and creating opportunities for professional development.
You'll be supported through strong links with the wider Tayside Nutrition & Dietetic Service and the Tayside Nutrition Network, providing peer support and ongoing CPD. We also play a key role in the training of dietetic and medical students, as well as other healthcare professionals.
We're seeking someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who can work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. A strong foundation in clinical reasoning and dietetic care across acute and rehabilitation settings is essential.
