Job Description
3. SHE Manager for housing refurbishment projects across the Yorkshire region for Housing Associations and Councils
4. Develop, implement, and maintain the company's SHE management systems in line with legal, regulatory, and industry standards
5. Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure safe working practices across all retrofit installations.
6. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
7. Provide SHE training, toolbox talks, and guidance to site teams, contractors, and management.
8. Drive environmental initiatives, including waste management, carbon reduction, and sustainability improvements.
9. Monitor and report SHE performance, producing accurate KPIs for senior leadership.
10. Act as the company's point of contact with regulatory bodies (HSE, Environment Agency, local authorities).
11. Promote a positive health & safety culture across the organisation.
The Successful Applicant
12. NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
13. Demonstrable experience of managing SHE duties in social housing refurbishment projects as PC and PD
14. Management of CDM on notifiable projects and domestic properties
15. Proven track record of implementing SHE systems and ensuring compliance with legislation
16. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
17. Knowledge of environmental management systems (ISO 14001 desirable)
18. Commutable distance of the Yorkshire region
