Offer description

You will be supporting a client in their own home based in Belfast. You will be part of a small team responsible for all aspects of the client's personal cares including but not limited to Tracheostomy cares, suctioning and medications. Support staff will also be responsible for household management which will include housework and completing laundry. The client has a dog, so staff will also need to be good with dogs.

You will help empower this client to access their community, and achieve independence, inclusion, and quality of life after a brain injury. Our client is seeking an exceptional team with the opportunity for a genuine and authentic connection to develop over time.

This permanent part-time role requires an exceptionally flexible person, as the role is not a fixed roster and will require working across a combination of Weekends, Weekdays, AM, PM, Sleepovers and occasional Wakeovers. The successful candidate will be covering staff on leave, hence the need to be flexible.

* Able to communicate effectively
* Reliable
* Have a keen interest in helping others
* Be able to work in partnership with our clients
* Be able to maximise the independence of our clients whilst encouraging choice, initiation, and participation in activities
* Have the ability to demonstrate efficient time management and the ability to work autonomously and be part of a team
* Have a full driver's licence
* Willing to work within the mission, vision, and values of the organisation
* Previous experience of support work and working with people with disabilities would be advantageous
