An opportunity to join our market leading client as a Warehouse Shift Manager has just become available.
This is a Temp to Perm role for the right candidate.
Job Summary
Manage commercial activity of transporting goods to customers, ensuring focus on great customer service, internally and externally
Responsibilities
* Manage team performance and ensuring they are working to company standards
* Managing Routing Controller, developing them to achieve all goals
* Manage daily routing, picking, and dispatching process, focussing on an ever improving system
* Route vehicles to ensure efficient deliveries, adhering to delivery timing promises
* Consolidate deliveries to ensure efficient site visits
* Print and distribute picking lists to the warehouse team
* Address stock issues to create dispatch notes and advise Stock Manager of discrepancies
* Work with the Accounts team to resolve any invoicing issues
* Assist the wider warehouse team in exploring and delivering operational efficiencies
Requirements
* Senior Supervisor/Assistant Manager experience
* Strong geographical knowledge of London
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Ability to adapt to workload fluctuations
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Pro active, self motivated and willing to learn and adapt
* The ability to work as a team and independently
The initial hours will be Monday to Friday 10.30-19:00, the permanent hours following this will be Sunday 12:00 – 20:00, Monday – Thursday 14:00 – 22:00.
The pay rate will be £35,000 per annum.
