To provide an efficient, effective and consistently high quality podiatry service to patients referred from consultant medical staff, specialist nurses and other health professionals within Manchester Local Care organisation. Working independently but with regular supervision and mentoring.
To assess, diagnose, develop and implement individualised care programmes for patients with a wide variety of clinical needs, including acute or chronic neuropathies, chronic diseases, vascular problems and wound management. The post holder will be expected to plan and manage their own caseload, at first with support, which will include providing specialist care for patients with diabetes, rheumatological and biomechanical problems.
To have individual responsibility, and be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of clinical work for patients; delegating as necessary and referring onward where more clinical expertise is required.
We are looking to recruit a committed and enthusiastic podiatrist to join our progressive team in South Manchester. The successful applicant will work in the community in a variety of settings and will undertake a full range of clinical duties. You must have good general clinical and diagnostic skills and be able to work on your own at times.
There will also be opportunities to gain experience working in specialist areas such as diabetes, MSK, Nail surgery etc. Our facilities include well‑equipped surgeries and an appliance laboratory.
