As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Senior Operations Supervisor.


Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, this is a full-time onsite role. The hours of work are 39 hours per week, 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am – 1:00pm Friday. The post holder may be required at times to work outside his/her normal working hours for the effective performance of the duties of the post.

In addition, you may be required to work a different shift pattern than the one outlined in the key terms table dependent on business needs. Should you be required to work an alternative shift, we will provide you with the details of the shift pattern including start and finish times and will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible, with a minimum of two weeks’ notice wherever feasible.

Role Overview:


Provide leadership to a production team within a lean manufacturing environment where performance is measured against key performance metrics and quality standards and the focus is on driving a culture of continuous improvement.

What you will do:

1. Provide leadership and direction to a Production team.

2. Ensure performance delivery against key targets/metrics and quality standards (deliver the Master Production Schedule and related KPI’s).

3. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and cost reduction to maximise efficiency and effectiveness within a team.

4. Effectively manage a team to increase line performance and development of individuals.

5. Developing effective relationships within both the production and support departments to achieve organisational goals

6. Ensure that all Health and Safety standards and requirements are met.

7. Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and manage change within a fast-paced production environment.

What you need to succeed:

Essential Criteria:

16. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a comparable supervisory role OR

17. 3 years’ experience in an MA role OR

18. Has successfully completed a relevant Development programme e.g. (the ML Development programme, Step up Development Programme, Tech Tracks etc) OR

19. Hold or working towards a third level education in a relevant discipline AND

20. Minimum 2 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry OR

21. Currently working in a P3 role

Desirable Criteria:

22. Experience of developing training plans.

23. Experience of developing team members through coaching and mentoring.

24. Experience of developing assembly or logistic processes.

25. Leadership of multi-functional teams.
