A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a Brighton-based main contractor delivering high-quality construction projects across Brighton, Hove, and the wider Sussex region.
The business is well established locally, with over 30 years’ experience delivering refurbishment, new build, and complex structural alteration schemes across residential, commercial, and education sectors.

Your Next Job – What You’ll Be Doing
You will support the commercial team across a range of Brighton-based projects, gaining exposure to varied and challenging schemes.
* Supporting cost management, valuations, and variation accounts
* Assisting with subcontract procurement and commercial administration
* Managing subcontractor payments and applications
* Supporting CVRs, forecasting, and reporting
* Working closely with site teams and project managers
* Liaising with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners

Requirements & Rewards – What You Give & What You Get Back
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Around 2 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying within a main contractor
* Exposure to refurbishment, residential, or general construction projects
* Strong numerical and communication skills
* Good understanding of commercial processes and subcontract management
* Relevant construction or QS qualification (preferred)
