Financial Risk Manager - 2nd Line

A bit about the job:
This role is pivotal to our strategic growth, providing oversight to a large-scale, business-led change program. You'll report to a Senior Risk Manager within the F&I RBP team, operating within a matrix reporting structure during the lifecycle of the program before the role evolves to focus on overseeing Financial Operations and supporting Finance Change.
Impactful Work: You'll be at the heart of a transformation program that offers insights across a wide range of finance processes and delivery risks. Your contributions will drive meaningful change and help shape the future of our finance operations.
Collaborative Environment: Partner with individuals leading and delivering finance transformation and change activities. Build strong working relationships and deepen your understanding of the relevant processes, systems, and data.
Influence: Building to be a subject matter expert, you'll collaborate with various stakeholders across finance, using your expertise to generate innovative ideas, challenge existing processes, and support successful delivery.
Leadership and Direction: Work alongside project stakeholders and management to influence and provide direction on effective risk management across all areas of Finance. You’ll be able to balance your Finance knowledge and expertise with the broad view Risk function roles offer, to support identifying and managing risks through thorough review and challenge of plans.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
1. Qualifications: Ideally, you're a qualified or nearly qualified accountant with recent experience in Financial Reporting or Insurance Operations and Change projects.
2. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex subject matter expert knowledge to non-subject matter experts.
3. Relationship Management: Strong relationship management skills to achieve objectives through others and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
4. Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of the financial services industry is desired by not essential.

5. Salary circa £65,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
6. Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
