Offer description

My client is looking to add to their team in despatch to fulfil customer orders in accordance with specified requirements and timescales and provide the best possible service to all customers at all times

The role involves:-

* To undertake work as directed by the Logistics Supervisor / Team Leaders

* To adhere to instructions issued by the Logistics Supervisor / Team Leaders

* To remove stock from storage in accordance with picking list instructions

* To adhere to correct stock rotation procedure

* To ensure that goods passed to packing area are correct in batch, description and quantity as described on picking list.

* To ensure that picking lists are passed to packing area along with goods to be packed.

* To inform Logistics Supervisor / Team Leaders of any discrepancy in batch, storage bin or quantity as soon as possible.

* To inform Logistics Supervisor / Team Leaders of any problems with orders as soon as they are discovered.

* To ensure that goods are packed correctly with reference to picking list instructions regarding packaging and labelling requirements.

* To ensure that any unused stock is correctly labelled with quantity and storage bin before it is returned to stock.

* To return surplus / unused goods to original storage bin as soon as is practical.

* To supply raw materials to Production department as required

* To package manufactured goods in accordance with company requirements

* To perform operations in SAP system as required

* To operate external carrier despatch systems

* To adhere to bin location plans for stock locations and maintain general appearance of the warehouse.

* To undertake additional duties as may be assigned from time to time

* To adhere to the Company Health and Safety Policy and maintain the required standard.

* To adhere to Company Business Policies and Standards

The successful candidates

* Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment both as part of a team and on own initiative when required.

* Must be able to communicate effectively.

* Must be flexible in approach to working hours when required during busy periods to ensure customer requirements are met.

* Must be flexible in approach to workload allocation to ensure that best use is made of resources at all times.

* Must be willing to undergo training to improve / expand personal skills & abilities

* The post holder must be capable of completing forms in Microsoft Office Excel & Word.

* The post holder must be able to create a basic written document in Microsoft Office Word.

* The post holder must be capable of understanding written work instructions in English

* The post holder must be capable of performing basic arithmetic on a set of figures to arrive at a total
