Key Responsibilities
:
1. Lead and manage the daily financial operations across two companies, ensuring efficient and robust processes
2. Production of monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis against forecasts and insightful commentary for board reporting
3. Overseeing the preparation of statutory accounts, acting as the primary contact for external auditors
4. Review and authorisation of client payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls and timelines
5. Working closely with the Credit Control team to ensure prompt collection of aged debt and resolution of outstanding balances
6. Acting as a financial partner, offering strategic insight and high quality financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
7. Ensuring all statutory returns are completed and submitted accurately and on time, in full compliance with regulatory requirements
8. Maintaining full compliance with SRA accounting rules, keeping accurate records and liaising effectively with auditors
9. Overseeing purchase ledger and associated payment processes, ensuring strong financial controls are upheld
10. Overseeing the timely and accurate processing of weekly payroll and pension submissions
11. Supporting the annual insurance renewal process and ensuring accuracy and completion of all regulatory submissions
Requirements:
12. ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified
13. Proven experience in a hands on, senior financial leadership role
14. Experience of SRA Accounts Rules would be beneficial
15. Oversight of R&D activities, including cost tracking and tax credit optimisation, ideally within a service or regulated industry
