General Manager – Nursing and Residential Care

We are working on behalf of a leading regional care provider to appoint a General Manager for a large nursing care home offering general nursing and dementia care. With 100+ beds and a strong reputation for person-centred practice, this is a key leadership role with strategic, operational and financial responsibility.
This appointment is being planned well in advance to ensure a smooth and supported transition into the role.
The successful candidate will be a seasoned care sector leader with experience managing complex care environments and leading large, multidisciplinary teams.
We are seeking:
* Proven leadership in nursing care, ideally with older people and dementia services.
* Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and care standards.
* Commercial acumen and budget management experience.
* Strategic and operational oversight across large-scale care settings.
* A collaborative and values-led leadership style.
* Confidence in relationship-building with families, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
This role is registered with the CQC, forms part of the Senior Leadership Team within the directorate and reports to the Director of Care. The post is based in the South West.
