We have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our Rolling Stock Customer Services team based at our Traction Drive facility in Goole. You will be responsible for the day to day commercial and financial aspects for the business unit. You will work in partnership with the operational management team and other stakeholders to ensure effective financial performance. Siemens have adopted the “new normal” working hours and working from home is possible however you will be required to regularly work from the office in Goole (4 days per week) as well as occasionally attend meetings around the UK. Contract management and analysis; drive fulfilment of requirements whilst ensuring the best operational / commercial outcomes for the projects and Siemens; negotiate any arising contract disputes with customers Preparation and development of key strategic KPIs. Correspondence management with Customers and Suppliers in accordance with documented contractual processes. Identification and preparation of Additional Services and Claims and negotiating settlements with Customers / Suppliers Risk & Opportunity management; drive ownership among project management team for mitigation of risks and realisation of opportunities Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date cost models Oversee finance processes (forecast, budget, month-end closing); ensure Financial Statements comply with Siemens guidelines and local GAAP Provision of accurate and timely management information to project management, Finance function and local and divisional HQs Drive innovation / digitisation initiatives within the commercial function and the facilities. Support the Senior Commercial Manager in driving the Commercial strategy for the facility. Your success will be grounded by … Prior experience in a commercial role Qualified accountant, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent preferable Technically proficient in contractual terms and conditions Experience working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams Strong communication, influencing and negotiating skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Experience of working in SAP (Spiridon or similar) Our compensation package includes a competitive salary, company bonus, holiday allowance and pension.
