£26,403.00 - 27,694.00 Full Time Equivalent (pro rata, based on 30 hours per week and working 39 weeks a year) + SEN allowance once probation completed

Are you an experienced or qualified Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a specialist school?
Hartmore School is seeking qualified Teaching Assistants to support young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a TA who wants to use their experience to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, values‑driven setting.
The Role – Qualified Teaching Assistant
As a Qualified Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with class teachers, you will help pupils build confidence, develop independence and experience success.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting learning in class and through targeted interventions
Leading small groups and reinforcing curriculum learning
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
Helping to create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
This role suits a Teaching Assistant who is confident working with SEMH pupils and able to contribute proactively within the classroom.
This Role Is Ideal If You:
Are a qualified or highly experienced Teaching Assistant
Have experience supporting pupils with SEN / SEMH
Are calm, patient and emotionally resilient
Can work both independently and as part of a close team
Are committed to safeguarding, wellbeing and high standards
Essential requirements:
Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent experience)
Full manual driving licence
Over 21 years of age
