The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation, integration, and performance of clinical imaging systems, supporting across the organisation. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for PACS users, resolving system issues, managing incidents, supporting upgrades, and liaising with vendors and IT teams to maintain system reliability. You will also support imaging workflows, user training, and data integrity, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care. The role is an onsite technical role, required to provide operational support to clinical services by means of bespoke IT systems and processes that the clinical and administrative teams follow as part of the imaging pathway, both within Radiology and in other imaging based areas. The role will be required to support related system changes and projects which are designed to maximise the efficiency of the clinical services, and to ensure systems are fit for purpose. There will be elements of user training to deliver, user access to maintain, and management of day to day transactions of imaging between Trusts. Advert The role is a full time position offering 37.5 hours per week, working onsite at the James Paget Hospital. This will be between Monday to Friday, with the requirement of flexibility of evening and weekend work as and when required. The role requires participation in an on-call system as part of a rotation. Key Responsibilities: • Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for PACS and associated imaging systems. • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of imaging applications. • Coordinate system updates, maintenance, and integration with other hospital systems (e.g., RIS, EMR). • Work closely with radiology, IT, and vendor teams to resolve complex issues. • Support end-user training, documentation, and best practice use of imaging systems.
