Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Band 7 Physiotherapist to join the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy service within Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The service provides community outpatient physiotherapy across 17 clinic sites in Birmingham, accepting referrals for acute and chronic conditions from GPs, ACPs and self‑referrals. It includes core MSK physiotherapy, orthopaedic triage and pain management.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified physiotherapist with extensive postgraduate experience in an outpatient musculoskeletal environment.
* Previous NHS experience desirable.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of CPD in MSK physiotherapy.
* Experience in leadership and supervision within a clinic setting.
* Involved in service evaluation, development projects, and clinical audit processes.
Responsibilities
* Manage own patient caseload in a supportive and experienced team.
* Supervise and support Band 5 & 6 physiotherapists, assistants and students.
* Support clinical triage of referrals and maintain clinic functionality.
* Lead and contribute to the innovative and comprehensive IST programme and clinical interest groups.
* Participate in service development projects such as clinical audit, running of classes and project‑based initiatives.
* Participate in risk assessment, clinic management and staff support.
* Ensure safe, efficient and effective service delivery in line with patient needs.
