The Role
BAE Systems is seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer (Electrical – Control & Instrumentation) to provide senior technical leadership within a safety-critical environment. You will act as a technical/design authority for assigned sub-systems or LRUs and support delivery across the full engineering lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce and review design requirements and engineering estimates
* Act as Engineering/Technical Authority for Electrical C&I systems
* Undertake, verify and sign off engineering designs
* Define qualification and assurance hold points through build, test and commissioning
* Provide technical leadership and direction to engineers and small teams
* Support safety cases, certification and compliance activities
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to meet programme requirements
Skills & Experience
1. Degree qualified (BEng/MEng) or equivalent experience
2. Strong Electrical Engineering background with C&I focus
