Role Responsibilities
* Preparing and reviewing financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
* Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards
* Preparing and reviewing corporate and personal tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to HMRC guidelines
* Acting as a trusted advisor, offering proactive financial and business advice to clients
* Overseeing work completed by junior team members, providing mentorship and training
* Assisting with audit engagements, supporting clients through the process and ensuring compliance
* Keeping up to date with changes in tax laws, accounting regulations, and industry best practices

Candidate Requirements
* ACA or ACCA qualified or close to qualification with relevant experience
* Strong background in accountancy practice, working with a range of clients
* Solid technical knowledge of accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting
* Excellent client relationship and communication skills, with a proactive approach
* Ability to review work, train, and mentor junior team members
* Proficiency in accounting software, such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
* Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
