Head of Mathematics | Outwood Academy Redcar
Start Date: September 2026 | Salary: £57,137 - £63,070 (L5 - L9)
We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational leader of maths to elevate the department’s outcomes. You will be supported by an experienced mentor and a network of outstanding leaders, with a clear focus on putting students first.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Mathematics department across KS3 and KS4, driving improvement in teaching, learning, and outcomes.
* Provide strategic direction, coaching, and performance management for department staff.
* Collaborate with Trust mathematics leaders and Senior Leaders across the Outwood Family of Schools to deliver the best possible mathematics curriculum.
* Contribute to GCSE outcome improvement by supporting colleagues to achieve high standards for all students.
* Lead and develop a well-equipped department operating from seven classrooms in the maths wing.
* Work with the Outwood Institute of Education (OIE) for ongoing professional development and leadership progression opportunities.

Requirements
Applicants must hold UK QTS. If trained overseas, you must have the relevant evidence that your qualification equates to UK QTS.
